LVDT/RVDT TO DIGITAL CONVERTERS

Control Sciences, Inc. (CSI) manufactures both an 11 bit and a 14 bit LVDT/RVDT to digital converters. These converters linearly convert the outputs of AC energized LVDT and RVDT transducers directly into digital format. The converters use ratiometric conversion techniques requiring no need for high stability oscillators. The converters are type II tracking converters that exhibit no velocity errors and only minor acceleration errors.

SYNCHRO/RESOLVER TO LINEAR DC CONVERTER

Control Sciences, Inc. manufactures a miniature synchro/resolver to linear DC converter with improved performance over earlier designs. The converter employs a type II tracking synchro/resolver to digital converter in conjunction with a high speed digital to analog converter. This combination provides synchro to linear DC conversion that exhibits no velocity errors and only minor acceleration errors. Ratio metric conversion techniques are used to ensure high noise immunity and insensitivity to excitation variations and harmonic distortion.
