Synchro Amplifiers
Control Sciences, Inc. (CSI) manufactures a line of synchro amplifiers with high input impedances and output drives ranging from 3VA to 25VA. Synchro outputs are transformer isolated with capabilities of driving CT, CDX and TR loads. All synchro amplifiers have short circuit, over-load and thermal protection.

LVDT/RVDT to Digital Converters
CSI manufactures both an 11 bit and a 14 bit LVDT/RVDT to digital converters. These converters linearly convert the outputs of AC energized LVDT and RVDT transducers directly into digital format. The converters use ratiometric conversion techniques requiring no need for high stability oscillators. The converters are type II tracking converters that exhibit no velocity errors and only minor acceleration errors

Synchro/Resolver to Linear DC Converter
Control Sciences, Inc. manufactures a miniature synchro/resolver to linear DC converter with improved performance over earlier designs. The converter employs a type II tracking synchro/resolver to digital converter in conjunction with a high speed digital to analog converter. This combination provides synchro to linear DC conversion that exhibits no velocity errors and only minor acceleration errors. Ratiometric conversion techniques are used to ensure high noise immunity and insensitivity to excitation variations and harmonic distortion.

Resolver to Encoder Converter System
The RE-1024 converts the stator outputs of a resolver to incremental encoder A quad B signals plus a gated Z marker. The unit is fully self-contained; operating from universal 85-440Hz power and incorporates its own programmable resolver excitation oscillator. The oscillator has four different operating frequencies with amplitude control allowing for compatibility with most industrial brushless resolvers.
